(A) The provisions of this chapter have been prepared with the intention of meeting the requirements of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. §§ 4001 et seq.) amended by the Congress of the United States through February 15, 1975 (The Housing and Urban Development Act of 1969, being 83 Stat. 379, Public Law 91-152).
(B) Authority to adopt, administer and enforce this chapter is vested in the city pursuant to W.Va. Code §§ 7-1-3kk, 7-1-3n, 7-1-3v and 8-12-14, and/or W.Va. Code §§ 8A-4-2, 8A-5-7 and 8A-7-2.
