§ 152.07  AWNING REQUIREMENTS; PERMIT; FEE.
   (A)   No person shall erect, set up, place or replace any permanent awning or covering extending over any street, alley, sidewalk or public place within the corporate limits of the city, without having obtained a permit from the city.
   (B)   Any person desiring to erect, set up, place or replace such awning or covering on or over any such public place shall apply for a permit, stating the kind, height above ground, dimensions and specifications of the awning or covering desired to be erected, set up, placed or replaced. The owner of such awning or covering, upon issuance of a permit, shall keep such awning or covering in good order and repair and agree to remove such awning or covering at any time, upon request of the city. Such awning or covering shall be erected in accordance with plans approved by the city and which comply with existing building codes.
   (C)   Permit fees for such awning or covering shall be paid to the Financial Secretary upon issuance of the permit, based on the total cost of erection, set up or placement of such awning or covering at the rate of $2 for each $100, with a minimum of $2 for each and every permit. No permit for such awning or covering shall be issued until the fee prescribed in this section has been paid. No amendment to a permit shall be approved until the additional fee, if any, due to an increase in the estimated cost of the installation of such awning or covering has been paid.
