§ 150.01  ADOPTED.
   (A)   There is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference, for the purpose of safeguarding life and property and to ensure the quality of construction, the State Building Code, as promulgated by the State Fire Commission and pursuant to W.Va. Code § 15A-11-5.
   (B)   The standards and requirements as set out and as published by the International Code Council, American National Standards Institute and National Fire Protection Association, as listed below, and as adopted by the State Fire Commission, in accordance with W.Va. Code of State Rules Title 87, Series 4, with all exceptions noted therein, shall have the same force and effect as if set out verbatim in this section:
      (1)   International Building Code, 2015 edition;
      (2)   International Residential Code, 2015 edition;
      (3)   International Existing Building Code, 2015 edition;
      (4)   International Plumbing Code, 2015 edition;
      (5)   International Mechanical Code, 2015 edition;
      (6)   International Fuel Gas Code, 2015 edition;
      (7)   International Property Maintenance Code, 2015 edition;
      (8)   International Swimming Pool and Spa Code, 2015 edition;
      (9)   NFPA 70 National Electric Code, 2014 edition;
      (10)   International Energy Conservation Code, 2009 for residential buildings;
      (11)   ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1, 2007 for commercial buildings;
      (12)   2009 ICC/ANSI A117.1 American National Standards for Accessibility and Usable Buildings and Facilities;
      (13)   W.Va. Code of State Rules Title 87, Series 7 “Standards for the Certification and Continuing Education of Municipal, County, and other Public Sector Building Code Officials, Inspectors and Plans Examiners” (effective date: June 1, 2016); and
      (14)   2015 Edition (effective date: August 1, 2016).
