The Mayor, with the consent of the Council, may enter into written contract, in the name of the City, within individuals or groups for extension of the city’s firefighting services to properties outside the City limits, so as to render such services available for the protection of such properties to the same extent as to persons and properties within the City. Every such contract shall clearly identify the properties to which it is applicable, the persons contracting for fire protection and their interests therein, and before execution by the City shall be approved by the City Attorney.
