Each such application shall be referred to the Council, at the next regular meeting thereof, or at such later meeting as the Council may direct, and the Council shall either accept or reject the same. Acceptance may be qualified and conditional. The Clerk shall forthwith notify the applicant, by letter, of the action taken by the Council, and if acceptance of the application be qualified, shall require the applicant to return a written acceptance of the qualifications within a stated number of days. If applicant, in such case, shall not make written acceptance of the qualifications within the time stated in the notice, the application shall be deemed abandoned. (1985 Code, § 15.06.020)
