§ 90.025 AUTHORITY TO QUARANTINE.
   The Animal Control Officer or any police officer shall have the authority to order the quarantine of animals responsible for bite incidents or suspected of having any zoonotic disease considered to be a hazard to human population or other animals. Any animal having rabies or symptoms of rabies, suspected of having rabies, or which have been exposed to rabies, shall be immediately released by the owner for quarantined confinement in the city shelter or in a veterinary hospital approved by the city.
