§ 39.030 APPOINTMENT; RESIDENCY; TERM OF OFFICE; ABSENCE.
   (A)    Appointment. The City Council shall appoint an Administrator for the city who shall be the administrative head of the municipal government under the direction and supervision of the City Council.
   (B)   Residence of Administrator. The Administrator may or not be a resident of the city when appointed, but during the term of his or her office may be required to reside in the city pursuant to Tex. Local Gov't Code § 150.021(b)(2).
   (C)   Term of office. The Administrator shall be appointed for an indefinite period and shall be subject to discharge at the will of the City Council.
   (D)   Absence or disability of Administrator. During the absence or disability of the Administrator, the City Council shall designate some properly qualified person to perform the duties of such office.
