Pursuant to Tex. Local Gov't Code Ch. 105, a bank shall be designated as the official depository of the municipality. Checking accounts or savings accounts, as authorized by the Council, shall be established at the bank with the requirement that all checks written against any such accounts shall require at least two signatures. The authorized persons who may sign city checks are the Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, Municipal Secretary or Council member.
