That article 208 of the revised ordinance of the city, dated 1931 and ordinance 732 are hereby amended, and there is hereby formed a corporation court whose jurisdiction shall extend to the city limits of the city, with a judge with the powers of justice of the peace under the laws of the state of Texas, who
shall have all such powers of municipal judge shall have under the laws of the state of Texas and the ordinances of the city and shall have all such powers to enforce the said statutes of the state of Texas and the ordinances of the city as come within jurisdiction; and maintain all such records necessary in the operation of said court, and shall have all such powers to administer the business of said court, and shall collect, account and report all such fees and fines collected or received to the City Council; further, that the City Council shall set the salary for municipal judge.
