2.90.030: APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE:
   A.   Applicants for membership for an board, commission, committee or other like body to which the White Pine County Commission has the authority to appoint must submit a written application created by the White Pine County Clerk's Office verifying that they are qualified and legally able to serve on that particular board, commission, committee or other like body; their background relevant to their membership and; their interest in membership.
   B.   Selection of members shall be based on the applicant's ability to fulfill the requirements imposed by the applicable law governing a member's appointment and service. The White Pine County Commission may take into consideration the applicant's experience, previous participation in public boards and other related activities, and the applicant's educational and professional background.
   C.   The White Pine County Commission may elect not to select an applicant if the Board determines that the applicant does not fulfill the requirements for the position or provide the representation desired for that position. (Ord. 517, 2-10-2021)
