A. The office of the building official is created and the executive official in charge shall be known as the building official.
B. The building official shall be appointed by the board of county commissioners of White Pine County by its own motion. His appointment shall continue during good behavior and satisfactory service. He shall not be removed from office except on specific charges; provided however, the administrative and enforcing authority of this code may be delegated by the board of county commissioners, to a qualified department of another political subdivision, in which case the person in charge of that department would become the building official and enforcing officer for White Pine County.
C. During temporary absence or disability of the building official the appointing authority shall designate an acting building official. (Ord. 527 § 1, 2022: Ord. 15 §2, 1959)
