11.48.110: DISPUTING CLAIMED TITLE:
   A.   A person with document interest in an abandoned vehicle may dispute a title claimed pursuant to an abandoned vehicle lien if:
      1.   No more than one (1) year has passed since the vehicle was abandoned; or,
      2.   No more than six (6) months has passed since the abandoned vehicle lienholder perfected title.
   B.   The local court, whether a Justice Court or Municipal Court, shall have jurisdiction over disputed claims.
      1.   The court, or the Judge thereof, shall require the substance of all possible issues of a complaint in relation to the interest of the parties to be contained in the pleading challenging title.
         a.   If any issue is not included in the pleading challenging title it is forever waived.
   C.   Any judgment or decree rendered in an action challenging a title claimed pursuant to the abandoned vehicle lien shall apply to and conclude any interest in the vehicle with respect to such persons. (Ord. 473, 2017)
