A. Upon proper notice and opportunity to be heard, the owner of the abandoned or junk vehicle shall be responsible for its removal.
1. If the abandoned or junk vehicle is on private property not owned or occupied by the owner of the vehicle, the owner or occupant of the private property on which the vehicle is located shall be responsible for removal.
2. In the event of removal and disposition by the County:
a. The owner, or occupant of the private property where the vehicle is located, shall be liable for the expenses incurred.
b. The owner or occupant of the private property where the vehicle is located is entitled to compensation for those expenses by the owner of the vehicle. (Ord. 473, 2017)
