6.03.090: FAILURE TO REMOVE ACCUMULATIONS:
If at any time, garbage, trash or waste matter is not hauled to the City landfill, or draws flies or vermin, or insects, because an excess volume is allowed to build up beyond that entirely contained within two (2) standard sized garbage cans and accumulate on town-site property, a notice may issue from the White Pine County Commission or from the Sheriff's Office, or those other officers identified in section 6.29.104 of this title as an "enforcement official", to the property owner of record. If, after notice from the County Commission or other "enforcement official", the accumulation is not remedied within thirty (30) days of the date of the notice, the County may proceed with all legal remedies provided by law by either determining the accumulation a public nuisance and abating the same pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 202.450-480, and/or by abating the nuisance pursuant to chapters 6.29 and 6.30 of this title.
Prior to issuance of a notice, any citizen of White Pine County may present evidence to the County Commission in a meeting of the Commission of the existence of an accumulation of garbage, trash or waste matter and seek abatement through issuance of the notice referred to in this section and section 6.03.100 of this chapter.
