Upon taking office, a public guardian shall file with the county clerk a general bond in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) payable to the state with sureties approved by the board of county commissioners. The premium for aforesaid bond shall be paid from the general funds of the county and be conditioned upon the guardian's faithful performance of his/her duties pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes 352.160.
