§ 37.01 AUTHORIZATION OF RESERVE POLICE OFFICERS FOR THE TOWN.
   (A)   Pursuant to I.C. 36-8-3-20, the Town Marshal is hereby authorized to appoint up to ten reserve police officers as deputy marshals for the town.
   (B)   Reserve police officers appointed pursuant to this chapter shall not be members of the Town Police Department, however, such reserve officers shall have the same police powers as regular town police officers.
   (C)   The Town Marshal may limit the authority of town police reserve officers by the adoption of rules governing such officers.
   (D)   Reserve police officers appointed pursuant to this chapter shall not be eligible to participate in any pension program provided for the regular members of the department, however, reserve police officers shall receive a uniform allowance, coverage under the worker's compensation program for the town and life insurance.
   (E)   Reserve police officers appointed pursuant to this chapter must comply with the provisions of I.C. 36-8-3-20 regarding training and arrest powers.
