§ 30.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   AUTHORIZED EXCUSE. An employee who has properly requested and been granted vacation time, compensatory time off, bereavement leave, personal leave, sick leave (not disability leave), or jury duty leave.
   FULL TIME HOURLY EMPLOYEE. Any employee who works for the town on a regular and full time basis for an average period of at least 35 hours per week and who is paid by the hour which is established in the Annual Salary Ordinance for his position.
   FULL TIME SALARY EMPLOYEE. Any employee who works for the town on a regular and full time basis for a period of at least 35 hours per week and is paid on a regular salary basis which is established in the Annual Salary Ordinance for his position. No elected official is included within this definition.
   PART TIME HOURLY EMPLOYEE. Any employee who works for the town who is paid on a hourly basis and who does not work 35 hours per week shall be a part time employee.
   TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE. Any employee who is hired for a limited period of time to perform a duty until it is finished, whether paid by salary or by the hour, including seasonal employees.
   WORK WEEK. The work week for the town employees shall be from Monday, 12:01 A.M. to Sunday, at midnight.
