§ 11.01 TOWN BOUNDARIES.
   (A)   The entire corporate boundaries of the Town of Whiteland shall be as follows:
   A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 15, a part of Section 21, a part of Section 22, a part of the West Half of Section 23, a part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 26, a part of Section 27, a part of Section 28, a part of Section 29 and a part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, all in Township 13 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian in Johnson County, Indiana, described as follows:
      Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Section 28; thence East on and along the North line thereof a distance of 2,189 feet, more or less to a point that is 1,799.8 feet, more or less, West of the Northeast corner of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 28; thence North 850 feet, more or less, to a point on the South Line of Maple Crest Addition, Third Section; thence West 412.6 feet, more or less to a point on the East Corporate line of New Whiteland, Indiana, said point also being on the West Corporate Line of Whiteland, Indiana; thence North on and along said East Corporate Line of New Whiteland a distance of 1,160.20 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot Number 42 in Maple Crest Addition, Third Section; thence East 876.6 feet, more or less on and along the North line of said Maple Crest Addition and an extension thereof to a point on the West line of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 21; thence North on and along last said West Line a distance of 570 feet, more or less; thence East 470.6 feet to a point that is 299 feet West of the Centerline of the Northbound lane of U. S. Highway 31; thence South 115 feet; thence East 385 feet, more or less to a point on the East right-of-way line of said U.S. Highway 31, said point being the Northwest corner of Lot Number 7 in the Second Commercial Addition of New Whiteland; thence Northwesterly on and along said East right-of-way line a distance of 220 feet, more or less to a point on the North line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 21; thence West 51 feet, more or less to a point on the centerline of the Northbound Lane of said U.S. Highway 31; thence Northwesterly on and along said centerline a distance of 2,830 feet, more or less to a point on the North line of said Section 21; thence East on and along said North line and along the North line of said Section 22 a distance of 4,000 feet, more or less to the Northeast corner of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 22; thence continuing East on and along the North line of said Section 22 a distance of 222 feet, more or less to a point that is 1,123.16 feet West of the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 15; thence North 00 degrees 20 minutes 36 seconds East a distance of 1,356 feet, more or less to a point on the North line of the South Half of said Southwest Quarter Section; thence North 88 degrees 18 minutes 17 seconds East on and along said North line a distance of 483.03 feet; thence South 00 degrees 20 minutes 36 seconds West a distance of 349.93 feet; thence South 88 degrees 40 minutes 36 seconds West a distance of 215.89 feet; thence South 00 degrees 20 minutes 36 seconds West a distance of 1,009.28 feet to a point on the South line of said Section 15; thence East on and along said South line a distance of 856 feet, more or less to the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 22; thence South on and along the West line of said Northeast Quarter Section a distance of 1,990 feet, more or less; thence East a distance of 2,000 feet, more or less; thence North a distance of 1,314 feet, more or less; thence East a distance of 580 feet, more or less; thence North a distance of 727 feet, more or less to a point on the North line of said Northeast Quarter Section, said point being 83 feet West, more or less of the Northeast corner of said Section 22; thence North a distance of 16.5 feet, more or less to a point on the North right-of-way line of County Road 600 North; thence East on and along said North right-of-way line a distance of 2,100 feet, more or less to a point on the East right-of-way line of County Road 250 East projected North; thence South on and along said East right-of-way line a distance of 2,751 feet, more or less to a point on the South right-of-way line of County Road 550 North; thence West on and along said South right-of-way line a distance of 666 feet, more or less to a point on the East right-of-way line of County Road 225 East; thence South on and along said East right-of-way line a distance of 700 feet, more or less; thence West on and along the line of now or formerly JRM Associates LP (Instrument Number 97-4572) a distance of 653 feet, more or less; thence continuing South along said line a distance of 800 feet, more or less; thence East along said line a distance of 653 feet, more or less; thence South along said line a distance of 50 feet; more or less; thence West along said line a distance of 653 feet, more or less; thence South along said line a distance of 800 feet, more or less; thence West along said line a distance of 680 feet, more or less to a point on the East line of now or formerly Parmerlee parcel (Deed Book 62, Page 942); thence South on and along said East line a distance of 110 feet, more or less to a point that is 267 feet North, more or less of the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22; thence West on and along said Parmerlee line a distance of 240 feet, more or less; thence South on and along said Parmerlee line a distance of 271 feet, more or less to a point on the North line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 27; thence East on and along said North line a distance of 237 feet more or less, to the Northwest corner of said Section 26; thence East on and along the North line of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 26 a distance of 1337 feet, more or less to the Northeast corner thereof; thence South on and along the East line of said Half-Quarter Section a distance of 2700 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner thereof; thence West on and along the South line of said Half-Quarter Section a distance of 1330 feet, more or less to the Southwest corner thereof; thence West on and along the South line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 27 a distance of 1860 feet, more or less to a point on the South line of said JRM Associates, LP; thence West on and along said South line a distance of 1,318 feet, more or less to a point on the Westerly right-of-way line of Conrail Railroad; thence Southeasterly on and along said Westerly right-of-way line a distance of 2,796 feet, more or less to a point on the South right-of-way line of County Road 400 North, said point being 16.5 feet South of the South line of said Section 27; thence West on and along said South right-of-way line a distance of 2,443 feet, more or less to a point on the centerline of the Northbound lane of U.S. Highway 31, said point being 453.2 feet East and 17.1 feet Southeasterly, more or less of the Southwest corner of said Section 27; thence Northwesterly on and along said road centerline a distance of 2,815 feet, more or less to a point on the North line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28; thence West on and along said North line a distance of 1,440 feet, more or less to a point in the centerline of Brewer Ditch, said point being 912 feet East, more or less of the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 28; thence Southwesterly along the center of said Brewer Ditch a distance of 1,331 feet, more or less to a point on the East line of said Southwest Quarter Section; thence South on and along said East line and along the East line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 33 a distance of 2,039 feet, more or less; thence West a distance of 935 feet, more or less to the Southeast corner of Park Forest, First Section; thence North 00 degrees 40 minutes East on and along the East line of said Park Forest, First Section a distance of 645 feet, more or less; thence North 00 degrees 54 minutes West a distance of 201 feet, more or less, the next nine courses being on and along the periphery of Park Forest, Second Section and will terminate at the Northwest corner of Lot Number 40; (1) thence North 42 degrees East a distance of 50 feet; (2) thence North 36 degrees 50 minutes 55 seconds West a distance of 250.06 feet; (3) thence North 12 degrees West a distance of 56.66 feet; (4) thence North 33 degrees 16 minutes 15 seconds West a distance of 243.01 feet; (5) thence North 22 degrees 35 minutes East a distance of 90 feet; (6) thence South 82 degrees 10 minutes West a distance of 540 feet; (7) thence North 89 degrees 35 minutes West a distance of 170 feet; (8) thence South 35 degrees 24 minutes West a distance of 281.78 feet; (9) thence North 89 degrees 35 minutes West a distance of 132.96 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot Number 40, said point also being on the East right-of-way line of Cynthia Lane; thence Southeasterly on and along the West line of said Lot Number 40 and along said East right-of-way line a distance of 195 feet, more or less to the Northerly right-of-way line of Park Forest, South Drive; thence Southwesterly a distance of 50 feet, more or less to the Southeast corner of Lot Number 42 in said Park Forest, Second Addition; thence Southwesterly on and along the South line of said Lot Number 40 a distance of 259 feet, more or less to the Southeast corner of Lot Number 43 in said Park Forest, Second Addition; thence West on and along the South line of said Lot Number 43 a distance of 265 feet, more or less to a point that is 528 feet North and 25 feet West, more or less of the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 29; thence North a distance of 798 feet, more or less to a point that is 25 feet West of the Southeast corner of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 29; thence South 89 degrees 32 minutes 54 seconds West on and along the South line thereof and along the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 29 a distance of 3,296 feet, more or less to the centerline of Grassy Creek, the next five courses being on and along said centerline; (1) thence North 02 degrees 03 minutes 13 seconds East a distance of 301.84 feet; (2) thence North 06 degrees 19 minutes 24 seconds West a distance of 105.95 feet; (3) thence North 33 degrees 18 minutes 05 seconds East a distance of 101.12 feet; (4) thence North 44 degrees 10 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 564.68 feet; (5) thence North 27 degrees 04 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 489.64 feet to a point on the North line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 29; thence North 89 degrees 07 minutes 51 seconds East on and along said North line a distance of 10.49 feet to the Northeast corner of said Southwest Quarter Section; thence North 00 degrees 06 minutes 58 seconds East on and along the West line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 29 a distance of 672.93 feet; thence North 89 degrees 07 minutes 25 seconds East a distance of 2,217.03 feet; thence South 00 degrees 20 minutes 53 seconds West a distance of 178.61 feet; thence North 89 degrees 07 minutes 25 seconds East a distance of 139.79 feet; thence South 00 degrees 20 minutes 53 seconds West a distance of 173.61 feet; thence North 89 degrees 07 minutes 25 seconds East a distance of 273 feet, more or less to a point that is 25 feet West of the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 29; thence North a distance of 2,366 feet, more or less to a point on the North line of said Northeast Quarter Section; thence East on and along said North line a distance of 25 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 2,250 acres, more or less.
      Subject to all legal rights-of-way, easements and restrictions of record.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM THE FOLLOWING SIX TRACTS:
   TRACT 1: A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 13 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian, described as follows:
      Commencing at the Northeast corner of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 21; thence South 88 Degrees 07 minutes West on and along the North line of said Half Quarter Section a distance of 218.00 feet; thence South 01 degree 53 minutes East a distance of 220.00 feet to the Point of Beginning of this described Exception; thence South 88 degrees 07 minutes West a distance of 301.73 feet to a point on the centerline of the Northbound lane of U.S. Highway 31 as said centerline existed in 1957; thence South 16 degrees 42 minutes East on and along said centerline a distance of 1353.40 feet; thence North 88 degrees 50 minutes East a distance of 302.27 feet; thence North 16 degrees 42 minutes West a distance of 1357.45 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 9.07 acres.
   TRACT 2: A part of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 13 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian, described as follows:
      Beginning at a point that is 218 feet West of and 20 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence South 88 degrees 07 minutes West a distance of 50 feet parallel to the north line thereof to an iron pin: thence South 01 degree 53 minutes East a distance of 200 feet to an iron pin; thence North 88 degrees 07 minutes East a distance of 50 feet to a point; thence North 01 degree 53 minutes West a distance of 200 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 0.23 of an acre, more or less.
   TRACT 3: A part of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 13 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian described as follows:
      Beginning at an iron pin that is located 268 feet West of the East line of said Half Quarter Section and 20 feet South of the North line of said Half Quarter Section and running thence South 88 degrees 07 minutes West parallel to the North line of said Half Quarter Section a distance of 235.90 feet to an iron pin in the East right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 31 as established and marked; thence South 09 degrees 09 minutes East on and along said East right-of-way line as now established and marked a distance of 125.25 feet to an iron pin; thence South 16 degrees 45 minutes East on and along said right-of-way line as now established and marked a distance of 78.30 feet to an iron pin; thence North 88 degrees and 07 minutes East a distance of 200 feet to an iron pin; thence North 01 degree 53 minutes West a distance of 200 feet to the place of beginning, containing 1.016 acres, more or less.
   TRACT 4: A part of the West Half of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian in Johnson County, Indiana, described as follows:
      Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Half Section; thence North on and along the West line thereof a distance of 2871 feet, more or less to a point; thence East a distance of 1349 feet, more or less to the East right-of-way line of County Road 125 East and the Point of Beginning of this described Exception; thence East a distance of 1302 feet, more or less to a point on the East line of the West Half of said Section 22; thence South on and along said East line a distance of 165 feet, more or less to the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 22; thence West on and along the North line thereof a distance of 291 feet, more or less; thence South a distance of 948 feet, more or less; thence West a distance of 1008 feet, more or less to a point on the East right-of-way line of County Road 125 East; thence North on and along said East right-of-way line a distance of 1153 feet, more or less to the Point of Beginning, containing 28 acres, more or less.
   TRACT 5: A part of the West-Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 13 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian, described as follows;
      Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Half-Quarter Section; thence South 00 degrees 50 minutes 02 seconds East on and along the East line of said Half-Quarter Section a distance of 16.50 feet to a point on the South right-of-way line of County Road 500 North, said point also being the Point of Beginning of this described Exception; thence continuing South 00 degrees 50 minutes 02 seconds East a distance of 469.87 feet; thence South 88 degrees 41 minutes 38 seconds West a distance of 292.00 feet; thence North 00 degrees 50 minutes 02 seconds West a distance of 298.37 feet; thence North 00 degrees 19 minutes 28 seconds East a distance of 171.49 feet to a point on said South right-of-way line; thence North 88 degrees 40 minutes 28 seconds East on and along said South right-of-way line a distance of 288.53 feet to the Point of Beginning containing 3.14 acres more or less.
   TRACT 6: A part of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22 and a part of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, all in Township 13 North, Range 4 East of the Second Principal Meridian, described as follows:
      Commencing at the Southeast corner of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22; thence West on and along the South line thereof a distance of 355 feet more or less to the Point of Beginning of this described Exception; thence North a distance of 232 feet more or less; thence West a distance of 316 feet more or less; thence South a distance of 247 feet more or less to a point on the South right-of-way line of County Road 500 North; thence East on and along said South right-of-way line a distance of 141 feet more or less; thence North a distance of 16.5 feet to a point on the North line of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 27; thence East on and along said North line a distance of 175 feet more or less to the Point of Beginning containing 1.73 acres more or less.
   (B)   Containing 2,207 acres, more or less after said exceptions.
   (C)   The above descriptions were prepared by using record descriptions and mapping provided by Government Agencies, and is not the result of a field survey.
   (D)   All land lying outside the town's present boundaries but within the town as described in division (A) above shall be and hereby is annexed to the town.
