Time clock procedures are as follows:
(A) The employee will use the time clock at his or her workplace to record the regular and overtime hours, on a daily basis.
(B) The employee shall use the time clocks to verify that the employee(s) were, in fact, “on duty.”
(C) Clocking in prior to the regular start time of the employee does not constitute the eligibility for overtime, unless authorized by his or her immediate supervisor.
(D) The policy, in consideration of when an employee will be docked, due to tardiness, or compensated for potential overtime will be determined by the following:
(1) Work time is paid on the quarter hour only. If an employee clocks in, up to seven minutes after his or her designated starting time, he or she will not be considered late for work.
(2) If an employee clocks in eight minutes or after, up to fifteen minutes after the hour, the employee will not be paid for that fifteen minute period.
(3) The policy shall apply to each fifteen minute period as described in divisions (D)(1) and (D)(2) above.
(4) Overtime, if eligible, is paid on the quarter hour only. If an employee clocks out up to seven minutes after his or her designated stopping time, overtime will not be paid for that fifteen minute period.
(5) If an employee clocks out eight minutes or after in the quarter hour, the employee, if eligible, will receive overtime for that fifteen minute period.
