The County Board of Elections is hereby authorized to conduct the town’s elections, as provided in G.S. § 163-285. The registration record of the County Board of Elections shall be the official registration record of voters to vote in the town elections, as provided in G.S. § 163-288. The cost of conducting the elections shall be paid by the town to the county, as provided by statute.
