§ 52.067  PRETREATMENT.
Users shall make wastewater acceptable under the limitations established herein before discharging into any town sewer.  Any facilities required to pretreat wastewater to a level acceptable to the town shall be provided and maintained at the user’s expense.  Pretreatment facilities shall be operated continuously during periods of wastewater discharge to the town sewers in a manner so as to produce a pretreated discharge acceptable to the town, as defined in §§ 52.025, 52.045, and 52.060 through 52.062.  Detailed plans showing the pretreatment facility and operating procedures shall be submitted to the town for review, and shall be approved by the town before construction of the facility.  The review and approval of the plans and operating procedures will in no way relieve the user from the responsibility of modifying the facility as necessary to produce an effluent complying with the provisions of this chapter.  Any subsequent changes in the pretreatment facility of method or operation shall be reported to and be approved by the approving authority.
