(a) Any person convicted of a criminal offense pursuant to the Village ordinances, in the Maumee Municipal Court, and who as a consequence of such conviction, is confined in a county jail, correctional center, workhouse or other area of incarceration as provided in Ohio R.C. 1905.35, shall be required to reimburse the Village for all expenses incurred by the Village by reason of such confinement, including but not limited to, the incidental expenses relating to provision of food, clothing and shelter.
(b) The amount of reimbursement required to be made by the individual so convicted shall be determined by the Maumee Municipal Court at a hearing held before the Court pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2929.15.
(c) The Solicitor of the Village is hereby authorized to institute all appropriate civil action in the name of the Village in the appropriate court in which the jail, correctional facility, workhouse or other place of incarceration is located, to recover on behalf of the Village from the inmate the reimbursement for the expenses of confinement as determined by the Maumee Municipal Court.
