953.10 CAMPING AND FIRE REGULATIONS.
   (a)   No person shall establish or maintain any campsite or temporary lodging or sleeping place within the confines of the Village park lands without the prior express written permit of the Village Administrator and/or the Director of Public Services being first issued in accordance with provisions established by the Village.
   (b)   Fires of any type except for culinary purposes in designated park grills or other areas as approved by the Village Administrator and/or Director of Public Services, are prohibited. All fires as permitted in designated or other areas shall be attended at all times by a competent person of eighteen (18) years of age or more and upon completion of the culinary or cooking usage, shall be properly extinguished before leaving the area. Disposal of ashes, burning materials or items from cooking or culinary use of fires are to be disposed of in properly designated areas and shall not be placed in any trash receptacles, walkway, pathway, trail, parking area and/or waterway. Fuels for cooking and culinary files shall be limited to wood, charcoal or other materials as shall be specifically approved by written permit of the Village Administrator and/or Director of Public Services. Portable self contained stoves and grills utilizing propane or other materials are permitted.
   (c)   Swimming or wading in any waterways of the park lands is prohibited except in specifically designated and/or as expressly permitted in writing by permit of the Village Administrator and/or Director of Public Services.
   (d)   No privately owned boats, canoes, kayaks, or other water conveyances of any type or nature are permitted upon any waterways of the Village park lands without the prior express written permit of the Village Administrator and/or Director of Public Services.
   (e)   Operation of automated or power toys and devises. No person shall operate any engine powered models, toys, airplanes, rockets, boats, cars, sirens, or other similar devices within the Village park lands except by first obtaining the express written permit of the Administrator and/or Director of Public Services, or operating said devices within specifically designated areas as delineated by signage.
   (f)   Aircraft. No person shall voluntarily operate, land or cause to descend or take off upon the park lands and/or waters within the park lands of the Village of Whitehouse, Lucas County, Ohio. Emergency or official business operation is exempt from this regulation.
   (g)   No person shall operate a sled, ride on a sled, or ice skate within the park lands except upon specifically designated areas as permitted by the Administrator and Director of Public Services and as posted for said operation and recreation.
