1525.03 DUTIES OF FIRE CHIEF AND INSPECTORS; ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF BUREAU.
   Duties of the Chief and inspector of the Bureau of Fire Safety/Prevention shall be to make inspections, promote safety practices, conduct educational and fire prevention programs within the Village, minimize fire threats and hazards and assist in the enforcement of laws and ordinances of the Village in relation to fire prevention and fire hazards. Further, the Bureau, its officers and inspectors, shall have as a duty the enforcement of the Ohio Revised Code and the Fire Code of the Village of Whitehouse (as adopted from the Ohio Fire Code). It shall be the additional duty of the members of the Bureau to cause the remediation and correction of such hazardous conditions as may exist with respect to fire and ancillary fire safety, issue warning notices, issue citations pursuant to the Fire Code, and/or cause the arrest and abatement of any person or actions by a person which violate the provisions of the Village Fire Code and to assist in the prosecution of offenders before the courts of proper jurisdiction.
