This chapter sets forth uniform requirements for discharges into the Lucas County wastewater collection and treatment system and enables the County to protect public health in conformity with all applicable local, state and federal laws relating thereto. The objectives of this chapter are:
(a) To prevent the introduction of pollutants into the Lucas County wastewater system which will interfere with the normal operation of the system or contaminate the resulting municipal sludge;
(b) To prevent the introduction of pollutants into the Lucas County wastewater system which do not receive adequate treatment in the POTW, and which will pass through the system into receiving waters or the atmosphere or otherwise by incompatible with the system;
(c) To improve the opportunity to recycle and reclaim wastewater and sludge from the system.
This chapter provides for the regulation of discharges into the Lucas County wastewater system through the enforcement of administrative regulations.
Unless the text specifically indicates otherwise, the sewer use regulations shall remain in force.
