161.40 DUTY HANDGUN.

   The City shall authorize the purchase of the departmentally issued duty handgun (service weapon) by sworn members of the Police Department, who are not members of a collectively negotiated contract agreement, the Chief of Police (P05) and Police Deputy Chief (P04), for one dollar ($1.00), upon completion of a service retirement. The City shall authorize the purchase of the departmentally issued canine by the handler upon retirement of the canine for one dollar ($1.00).
