903.09 DRIVEWAY CONSTRUCTION. 
   (a)    All new residences shall have a hard surface driveway paved with either cement or asphaltic concrete extending from the street to the garage, carport or parking area. All commercial and industrial buildings shall have a hard surface driveway paved with either cement or asphaltic concrete extending from the street to any garage, parking area, loading or delivery area, storage area or trash pickup area.
   (b)    No person shall construct or reconstruct any driveway approach or driveway not in conformity with the general plans and specifications governing the construction of such entrances on file in the office of the Director of Public Service and not in accordance with the specific orders and directions of such Director under whose control such entrances and driveways shall be constructed.
   (c)    All entrances and driveways leading from improved streets where curb line and grade has been established shall be material commonly known as cement, from such hard surface streets to the property line, the remainder of such entrance or driveway shall be either cement or asphaltic concrete.
   (d)    Where any portion of a curb is destroyed or broken beyond the driveway entrance, such curb must be replaced with cement at the expense of the person making such opening.

   (e)    No person shall construct any driveway from a commercial district or industrial district across any residential district (R-1, R-2, R-3 or R-4) to a street, alley or access road in a residential district. (Ord. 33-74. Passed 5-7-74.)
