This franchise shall be hereby granted for an initial term of ten (10) years from and after the date of the final acceptance of this chapter by the franchisee. Thereafter, this franchise will automatically renew every ten (10) years for an additional term of ten (10) years, unless canceled by either party by written notice to the other party, no less than one year prior to the end of the then current term. During the term of this franchise, if Montana law should change with respect to franchise fees or if franchisee agrees to pay franchise fees to a Montana municipality pursuant to a franchise agreement, either party may open negotiations specific to that future change in Montana law or other franchise agreement. Those negotiations, which at this point are hypothetical, shall be done separately and apart from the current franchise and shall not change any terms of this franchise agreement.
