This franchise and the rights and privileges granted herein shall take effect thirty (30) days after final passage and approval of this chapter on May 3, 1982 and remain in force and effect for a period of twenty (20) years from that date, provided that the company accepts the terms of this franchise within said thirty (30) day period.
The company shall have the right to renew this franchise for an additional five (5) year term, provided that the company has complied with the material terms of this franchise during the original term. The company shall give the city six (6) months written notice of its intention to renew the franchise. (Ord. A-408, 5-2-1982)
