2-1-4: MEETINGS, RULES AND REGULATIONS:
The majority of a committee created under this chapter shall constitute a quorum. Not less than a quorum of the committee may transact any business or conduct any proceedings before the committee. If the enacting resolution or ordinance does not so provide, a committee shall adopt rules of procedure for the conduct of meetings. All actions of a committee shall be within statutory authority, the city charter, ordinances, resolutions or the enacting resolution or ordinance. If the enacting resolution or ordinance does not so provide, the committee shall decide the frequency of meetings and the times at which meetings shall be held. All meetings are open to the public. If the city council deems it necessary, the city council may also set the frequency of committee meetings. If an ad hoc committee is being created, the resolution or ordinance shall state the length of time the committee is to exist, including a specific termination date. (Ord. 01-06, 2-20-2001; amd.
