The ordinance codified herein is passed in order to comply with the Montana floodplain and floodway management act 1 and to ensure compliance with the requirements for the continued participation by the city of Whitefish in the national flood insurance program. Land use regulations which are hereby adopted are to be applied to all identified regulated flood hazard areas within the local jurisdiction. (Ord. 15-16, 10-5-2015)
