Before the city council amends these regulations it will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment(s). Notice of the time and place of the public hearing must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the county not less than fifteen (15) days nor more than thirty (30) days before the date of the hearing. The city council may, at its discretion, ask for a recommendation from the planning board and it may also direct the planning board to hold a public hearing prior to city council action. In such event, a similar notice must be provided with respect to such hearing. (Ord. 09-23, 11-16-2009; amd. Ord. 19-11, 6-3-2019)
