501.08 ARREST FOR OFFENSES COMMITTED IN PRESENCE OF OFFICER.

When an offense of which the Police Court has jurisdiction is committed in the presence of an officer of the Police Department, such officer may forthwith apprehend the offender or cause him to be apprehended, and in such case the offender may be tried before the Police Court and dealt with according to law.
