159.25 TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT.
   Temporary appointments shall only be made when a City employee is expected to return to his/her previous position at the completion of an extended leave of absence or when the workload necessitates the need for additional assistance. Temporary appointments may be made by the appointing officer without reference to rules and regulations of the Commission; provided, however, that no appointment shall be for a longer period than three months. Unless approved by the Commission for extraneous circumstances, no successive appointment may be made. All such temporary appointments shall be immediately reported to the Human Resources Director and reported to the Commission.
