In the event of a conflict between the interpretation of a provision of West Virginia Article §5-11 et seq. and the interpretation of a similar provision contained in any part of this municipal ordinance, the interpretation of the provision in West Virginia Code shall apply to this municipal ordinance. Until such time as the legislation of the State provides equal or broader protections for the classifications of veteran status, sexual orientation or gender identity, the provisions contained herein control such application of this article to such classifications.
