(a) Contents. There is adopted and established an official Traffic Control Map for the City, which map shall show at all times current designations of:
(1) Through streets;
(2) Stop intersections;
(3) Yield right of way intersections;
(4) One-way streets and lanes;
(5) Traffic control signals;
(6) Truck routes in addition to designated State and Federal highways.
The Traffic Control Map adopted is designated "Map of Traffic Control of the City of Wheeling" and consists of seven sheets, each of which shall bear the number of Ordinance 2853 and the date adopted (August 15, 1961). The Clerk of the City, upon adoption of Ordinance 2853, shall enter such information on each sheet of the Map and shall affix his signature to each sheet thereof.
The Traffic Control Map shall be currently maintained and kept on file in the office of the Traffic Engineer of the City. A copy of the Traffic Control Map as it exists on the date of the passage of Ordinance 2853, adopted August 15, 1961, is made a part hereof.
(b) Amendments. Amendments to the Traffic Control Map shall be by ordinance adopted by Council, and upon the effective date of such ordinance and upon the erection of proper signs and markings giving notice thereof, amendments shall be in full force and effect. All amendments shall be immediately recorded on the official Traffic Control Map by the Traffic Engineer.
