There shall be a head of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, known as the Chief Inspector of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, who shall be a member of the Fire Department. The Chief Inspector shall be appointed by Chief of the Department.
All other inspectors, who shall be members of the Fire Department, of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be appointed to the position of inspector by the Chief of the Fire Department.
The Chief of the Fire Department may detail officers and men of the Fire Department to temporary duty as inspectors whenever necessary.
