The Mayor may, in collaboration with other public and private agencies within this State, develop or cause to be developed mutual aid arrangements for reciprocal emergency services aid and assistance in case of disaster too great to be dealt with unassisted. Such arrangements shall be consistent with the State emergency services plan program, and in time of emergency, it shall be the duty of the City organization for emergency services to render assistance in accordance with mutual aid agreements.
The Mayor, subject to the approval of the Governor, may enter into mutual aid arrangements with emergency services agencies or organizations in other states for reciprocal emergency services aid and assistance in case of disaster too great to be dealt with unassisted.
