A "professional bondsman" shall be deemed to be a person who, for consideration, becomes surety or provides surety on any bail bond, recognizance bond, appeal bond or other court bond required to be filed in any court; provided, however, that nothing in this article shall be construed to apply to any firm or corporation doing business as a surety company and duly licensed under the laws of the State.
