Any person who shall engage in any business, trade or vocation for which a license, permit, or certificate of registration is required by this chapter without having a valid license, permit, or certificate of registration as required, or who shall fail to do anything required by this chapter or by any code adopted by this chapter, or who shall otherwise violate any provision of this chapter or of any code adopted by this chapter, or who shall violate any lawful regulation or order made by any of the officers provided for in this chapter, shall be guilty of an offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in accordance with section 1-4-1 of this code. Each day upon which a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense. (1983 Code § 12-511)
