9-3-20: WIRING IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED:
On all single phase installations, the conductors connected to the line ground terminal must be identified by the use of an outer braid of some color other than black finish ordinarily used on rubber covered wire. Fixtures and receptacles shall be grounded to these identified conductors. No electrical wire of any kind shall be grounded to any gas pipe. (1983 Code § 5-423)
