9-3-17: WIRE REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Lighting Inside Buildings: For general lighting inside buildings, not more than eight (8) light outlets shall be permitted on any one circuit. There shall be not over one thousand (1,000) watts on any branch lighting circuit of no. 12 wire. No conductors smaller than no. 12 B&S gauge shall be permitted for installation of any electrical wiring in the city, except low voltage bellringer circuits.
   B.   Materials Approved By Inspector: Materials, other than those specified in this chapter, which the electrical inspector approves as being equally efficient, may be permitted. (1983 Code § 5-419)
