9-3-5: BOND REQUIRED:
All registered contracting electricians who desire to do any electrical wiring in or on any building (except central power stations and substations belonging to the electric service company operating under a franchise) shall furnish the city with proof that a state bond has been obtained by the registered contracting electrician as a guarantee that the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures and apparatus shall be in accordance with the requirements of this chapter and the national electrical code. It is further conditioned that such registered contracting electricians shall, without further cost to the person from whom the work was done, remedy any defective or faulty work caused by incompetent workmen, inferior or nonstandard material; and such bond as is furnished is liable for the correction and any additional cost arising from the above mentioned causes.
