7-2-3: BOATING RULES AND REGULATIONS:
   A.   Compliance With Regulations; Life Preservers:
      1.   All boats must observe the applicable regulations stated in this chapter.
      2.   All persons both operating and riding in boats upon the lake shall at all times have upon their person a life preserver. (1983 Code § 11-110)
   B.   Rules For Operation: For the protection and safety of all persons using the municipal lake in any manner, the following rules for the operation of boats upon the lake are hereby enacted:
      1.   All safety rules provided by the state for the use and operation of boats are hereby adopted by reference.
      2.   No boat shall tow or pull more than two (2) skiers at one time.
      3.   A counterclockwise traffic pattern shall be maintained by all boat operators.
      4.   There shall be no competitive racing of boats, either formally or informally, without the approval of the city council. Boat races may be approved by the city council after due process.
      5.   There shall be recreational swimming or wading in the lake at designated areas only.
      6.   All boats shall be equipped with such a motor that terminates with exhaust being discharged under water. (1983 Code § 11-107)
