7-1-11: SKATING, COASTING OR PLAYING BALL:
   A.   Skating And Coasting Upon Sidewalks: It is unlawful and an offense to skate with either ice or roller skates, or a skateboard, or coast with any sled or roller coaster, upon any crosswalk or sidewalk upon the public thoroughfares of the city.
   B.   Ball Playing On Streets: It is unlawful and an offense for any person to play at any game of ball or to throw or bat any ball across or upon any street, avenue or alley in the city.
   C.   Portable Basketball Goals:
      1.   Placement Of Portable Basketball Goal: Portable basketball goals may be placed in front of a home as long as the base of the goal is no closer than ten (10) feet from the edge of the pavement or back of curb of the abutting street.
      2.   Prohibited Act: It is unlawful and constitutes a misdemeanor to erect or install a portable basketball goal outside the perimeters set forth above.
         a.   Any person who knowingly violates this paragraph C. is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof for the first offense shall be punished by a fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). Upon conviction thereof for the second offense shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00) and confiscation of the portable goal. (1983 Code § 14-207; amd.
