7-1-9: SPILLING OIL ON PAVEMENT:
No person, firm or corporation owning or operating automobiles, garages, oil wagons, oil depots or any other place or thing at or from which oil is bought, sold or used shall spill, allow or cause to be spilled upon the pavements of any of the streets, alleys or other public grounds of the city oils of any character or any other fluid that would cause injury to the pavement. Upon conviction, those guilty of so doing shall be liable to the penalties prescribed in this chapter, and either the person, firm or corporation, employee or employer, or all of them, shall be responsible for the damage thereby caused to the pavement.
