(A) Before any contractor begins a new construction project within the city limits, he or she must purchase a permit. The permit must be purchased from the City Clerk. The fee for said permit shall be as follows: $100 per year exceeding $10,000.
(B) In addition to the permit fees, there shall be an inspection fee collected by the City Clerk. The inspection fees are as follows:
(1) Water connections inspection: $10;
(2) Sewer tap inspection: $10; and
(3) Electrical service entrance inspection: $10.
(C) Only those persons who are licensed as electricians and plumbers per the requirements hereof may make connections for water, sewer, plumbing or electrical systems.
(D) The property owner or his or her agent shall be responsible for notifying OKIE DIG in advance to be sure that no structures will be built over existing lines or easements.
