§ 91.01 BURNING TRASH AND THE LIKE.
   A burning permit must be obtained and approved prior to the burning of trash and other flammable material or rubbish within the city limits, to be permitted and regulated as follows.
   (A)   Burn permits shall be applied for at the City Clerk’s office and application will be reviewed by the Fire Chief or his, her or their representative and will be issued in the sole discretion of the Fire Chief and subject to weather conditions.
   (B)   A copy of all burn permits issued by the Fire Chief or his, her or their representative shall be given to the Police Department and City Manager on the same day as issued, and the Police Dispatch will be notified immediately.
   (C)   Burn permits will be issued on a single-day basis and will be valid only on the date issued on the specific date specifically stated in the burn permit.
   (D)   A burn permit holder will at no time leave the fire unattended and will be responsible and liable for any damages caused by such file and must have a pressurized water source on site and within reach of the fire at all times.
   (E)   All fires must be extinguished by 8:00 p.m. on the date of the permit and no fire will be lit before 6:00 a.m. on the date of the burn permit.
