(A) The City Council approves and adopts this section requiring that its officers shall be elected and initiative and referendum questions shall be decided only through elections conducted by the county’s Election Board, pursuant to 11 O.S. §§ 16-101 et seq.
(B) All elections filing periods shall be advertised in the newspaper, which shall give the candidates time to file at the county’s Election Board, where all votes for the elections will be cast through their designated polling place.
(C) Each candidate for the city shall be a qualified elector of the city and that each candidate for the office shall be an actual resident of the city for a minimum of six months.
(D) Absentee ballots shall be provided in accordance with state law.
