The areas of special flood hazard identified by the federal insurance administration (FIA) of the federal emergency management agency (FEMA) in the flood insurance study (FIS) dated June 16, 1999, and accompanying flood insurance rate maps (FIRM) and flood boundary and floodway maps (FBFM), dated June 16, 1999, and all subsequent amendments and/or revisions, are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter. The FIS and attendant mapping is the minimum area of applicability of this chapter and may be supplemented by studies for other areas which allow implementation of this chapter and which are recommended to the city by the floodplain administrator. The FIS, FIRMs and FBFMs are on file at the city of West Wendover, office of the city clerk, 801 Alpine Street, West Wendover, NV 89883. The city FIRM is the flood insurance rate map of the city of West Wendover, Nevada, community parcel no. 320037 001 A, effective date June 16, 1999. The city may update its FIRM and FIS by resolution as required from time to time and, further, may incorporate or reference any county FIRM and FIS by resolution from time to time as may be required or desirable.
